Wedding Season is upon us, soon..
This was my first wedding dress, and believe me, it looked much better two years later, when I was not six months pregnant. Lisa and me took the photo above when the marriage had already crumbled, and I can´t bear to look at my old wedding photos, so you will just have to believe me. (Fun fact: Lisa also took those. I liked them at that time..)
Suffice it to say that this boho-look, incredibly dapper in 2001, made me look like a greek fertility goddess, and I don´t mean that in a good way. Still better than the white tuxedo (I really, really liked the Yves Saint Laurent-collection by Tom Ford - forgive me), my other option, into which I wouldn´t have been able to fit in for the life of me. Thinking about the belly? Nope. My ass was about the size of a small state. I still don´t know what I was thinking. Hormones can do that to you.
I decided upon this Yves Saint Laurent pattern, which really would have looked better in the soft jersey that happened to be Yves´ choice. I blame my know-all grandmother for it, she blamed my ever-expanding shape. Decide for yourselves.

Pregnancy aside, boho wedding dresses are a good thing. There is a certain romance and ease about them that makes them utterly delectable. My choice this summer would be like this:
This, darlings, is fabulous. The cape-like sleeves are chic with a capital C, and add drama.. Always a good thing at a wedding.. It would look good in white or cream, but the petal-pink is a very alluring colour. Good for your skin-tone, too.
I hanker for this dress since years. Unfortunately, I´m not a waif. Go on, fulfill yourself all my dreams. Someone should, really. (The one with the floral pattern, though, not the white one.. Meringue is something you should eat, not look like.)
Good for anyone who doesn´t need a bra, obviously. And it´s not only très chic, it´s also very easy, very vogue.
If you want to do a real wedding dress, don´t stop at floor length and white. Add giant chiffon sleeves, a deep décolletage, and as much jewellery as you can. Stop at that hairstyle, though.. Nobody ever looked good in it.
This. Is. Stupendous. Not strictly bohemian chic, but I didn´t want you to miss this option. Because nobody should.
I won´t go on about wedding cakes to match the mood. The Croquembouche it is, and always will be. But a herb-infused cocktail with a delicate floral note would add the finishing touch. This Orange Blossom is perfect, and the chamomile flowers look so pretty. Don´t forget to write a note of thanks to me, darlings, you owe me.
