Yes, darlings, I love fashion, and I particularly love shows of fashion schools. There is nothing more exciting than seeing new talents emerging and new ideas unfolding before your very eyes. So I´m quite happy to oblige the moment I am being called to be part of a jury. Hello, Modeevent des Modekollektivs #0817.
Sadly, this year it left me quite unimpressed, and obviously, I was not the only one, as Gabriel Roland´s article for The Gap suggests (and for which he got whipped by some of the designers on Facebook).
I remember a beautiful ruched and dyed long cotton dress by Nina Petautschnig, which could be totally worn to the wedding of Bee Shaffner and Francesco Carrozzini, a topic heavily discussed by the panel of the jury.. (Pretentious? Moi?)
I really liked the collection of Cara Lerchl, a quite sophisticated and thought-out collection of desirable and chic pieces, including a beautiful trenchcoat, a midi wool shift and flared pants worn with an asymmetric black pullover. (Insert pic of drooling fashion blogger here, please.)
